Aiséirí Cahir New Service Launch

We are delighted to announce that Minister of State for Communities and the National Drug Strategy, Catherine Byrne, will officially launch our new detox service and refurbishment of Aiséirí Cahir on Friday 8 @ 12pm, we would love to see you there.

Aiséirí Cahir provides a four week residential service to adults suffering from addiction.

This new service will allow more people access treatment through our dedicated four bed detoxification unit.  Our 14 bed centre is set in beautiful tranquil grounds which were unmatched by the outdated and deteriorating interior, unsuitable layout and outdated health and safety standards.

Thanks to funding from a private donor and HSE funding for our detox programme we have been able to;

•    Introduce a new four bed detox unit
•    Update all health, safety and fire equipment
•    Complete overhaul; redesign and restructure of our main recreational hall
•    Introduce new family rooms
•    Introduce a four bed detox unit
•    Improve all of our one to one counsel rooms and group rooms
•    Refurbish the staff offices
•    Upgrade all the client rooms
•    Revamp our extensive gardens

The overall impact of this funding is that we can now help more people access treatment through our new detoxification service.   Detox is carried out by our medical team who manage client withdrawals safely and comfortably, offering residential treatment afterwards to ensure continued recovery.

We now have a beautiful tranquil treatment centre to help people and their families overcome addiction.  The services we provide are to the highest standard and accreditation; we now feel that the environment in which we treat clients in Cahir matches the quality of service delivery.

This funding has allowed us to provide a clean calm environment in which clients can work on their recovery and a get good night’s sleep; which is absolutely crucial.  Clutter free, tranquil and aesthetically pleasing rooms can have a huge positive impact on a person’s recovery

Our environment is now adhering to the all fire, health and safety regulations, providing a safe place for clients, their families and our staff.   Gone are the dull and deteriorating environs of our counseling one to one rooms, group rooms and recreational areas.

Our deepest and sincerest thank you to our private funder, the impact of your support will have a profound positive effect on the many lives we will change. Thank you also to the HSE for supporting our detox programme.
