Getting into Treatment

Assesment & Admission

Arriving at Aiséirí

What happens once a referral is made?

Once a referral is made, you will be invited to attend for an assessment to see if treatment is right for you. Assessments usually last for approximately an hour and family members or support from referral agencies may also attend.

During assessment, we will discuss a range of topics to get a full in depth understanding of your history. This will assess if treatment in Aiséirí is for you.
If it is recommended that treatment is for you, you will be given a date for admission. A care plan is devised and it may include the requirement for detox.

Arriving at a treatment centre can be daunting. You will be greeted with a warm welcome, dignity and respect. Our primary treatment centres are in beautiful settings on sprawling grounds and we pride ourselves in providing tranquil and serene spaces for healing and recovery. The houses themselves are large with rooms for counselling and group therapy, dining areas and kitchen, reception and admin areas, social areas and sitting rooms, areas for creative and wellness programmes and the bedrooms are upstairs.

The staff team will welcome you as you settle in and you will be supported by your fellow residents who know just how you feel. Participating in therapeutic treatment must be in a voluntary capacity, which requires the full consent of the client in order to actively engage in the 12-step treatment programme. We require that each person is ready, willing and able to engage in treatment.
