Staff Nurse

Join our dedicated team at Aiséirí, where we provide compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals in addiction recovery. We are seeking a committed Staff Nurse who will play a vital role in supporting clients through both withdrawal management and therapeutic treatment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to clients in withdrawal management and addiction treatment programmes.
Administer prescribed medications in accordance with clinical guidelines and client needs.
Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver consistent, client-centred care.
Carry out risk assessments and respond effectively to client needs in a therapeutic setting.
Support clients in developing and implementing their individual treatment plans.
Ensure accurate, confidential, and timely documentation of client records.
Maintain compliance with Aiséirí’s policies, procedures, and professional code of ethics.
Promote and ensure a safe clinical environment by adhering to Health & Safety standards.
Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development initiatives.
Stay informed of best practices and current legislation relevant to nursing and addiction care.
Engage in client assessment, admission, and treatment planning processes.
Uphold standards in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics.
Maintain active registration with the NMBI.

Requirements

Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) with current NMBI registration.
Experience or strong interest in addiction services and/or mental health.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and clinical skills.
Ability to work within a team and independently in a dynamic environment.
Commitment to continuous professional development.
